Temperature preset and control:
The container‘s internal temperature can be preset according to requirements and maintained at a consistent level regardless of external ambient conditions (optional air conditioning available).
Alarm monitoring:
Monitored values include:
- 4 temperature sensors per compartment (surface temperature of a Li-ion battery)
- Ambient temperature inside the compartments
- Detection of smoke, hydrogen (H2) and carbon monoxide (CO)
Flooding & Cooling:
As soon as the surface temperature of a lithium-ion energy storage system in a compartment reaches 68°C (adjustable), the cooling extinguishing heads open and flood the corresponding compartment with water or another coolant to prevent a thermal reaction of the battery cells. In case of contamination, water retention is ensured, and no liquids can escape from the watertight compartment. Other areas remain unaffected. Sensors ensure that flooding stops at the right time (no overflow).
