SEDA workshop in the framework of the RECOVER-E project took place on 30th June 2022 at the headquarters of SEDA Umwelttechnik GmbH in Kössen, Austria.
The main focus was on handling crashed e-cars and high-voltage batteries as well as proper dismantling and recycling. There were 3 workshop groups discussing current issues and the session was accomplished by a LIVE demonstration of SEDA solutions. It was an excellent opportunity for stakeholders and representatives from all relevant sub-areas of accident management to discuss existing problems and work out concepts for further action.
Project details:
It is common knowledge that the rise in vehicle alternative drive systems has become an integral part of our life and is expected to continue its rigorous upward movement. That was an impulse for SEDA to launch the RECOVER-E project as part of the “Zero Emission Mobility Implementation” programme of the Climate and Energy Fund.
The all-inclusive process of safe handling of crashed e-cars and high voltage batteries (including transportation from accident sites to recycling centres) has been thoroughly researched by the Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association, SEDA Umwelttechnik GmbH, the Montanuniversität of Leoben, the Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club, TÜV SÜD Landesgesellschaft Österreich GmbH and IRIS (Industrial Risk and Safety Solutions e.U.).
