Safe discharge soltuion for Lithium-Ion batteries
SEDA HV Battery Discharger
The discharge of Li-ion batteries is a critical step in the recycling process, as it helps neutralize potential hazards and reduces dangerous voltages for the user.
Modules up to 96V can be discharged with a power of up to 4.8 kW. After deep discharge, the battery modules are short-circuited. Following a 72-hour quarantine and observation period, an HV technician inspects the module for any thermal anomalies to classify it as non-critical. This process lowers transportation costs since ADR transport can now be conducted with non-critical batteries. Storage is also easier to manage.
