With the introduction of new environmental regulations, SEDA depollution technology helps an Ontario metal recycler properly handle end-of-life vehicles. Moffat Scrap Iron & Metal contacted SEDA distributor ELV Select to help meet the requirements of the environmental regulations in an efficient and environmental way.
The Company
Moffat Scrap Iron & Metal is a metal recycler located in Southern Ontario along the Hwy 401 corridor. The company recycles all metals and prides itself on contributing in a big way to a cleaner environment.
The Challenge
Various factors contributed to the challenges faced by Moffat Scrap Iron & Metal; primarily the price of metal and changes to the environmental regulations surrounding ELV processing. ELVs need to processed efficiently but also with a low environmental impact.
The Solution
The SEDA JumboLine and Truck Station in combination with the Mobile Drainage Station evacuates 98% of all fluids within 8 minutes. Fluids are pumped directly from the ELV into storage tanks without being handled or spilling a drop. Additionally, all this work is completed on an impervious surface under a covered work area.
